Tall ships are coming to Baltimore! It’s the Star Spangled Sailabration!
Star-Spangled Sailabration, June 13-19, is an international parade of more than 40 tall ships and naval vessels. These ships sail into Baltimore for the national launch of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Star-Spangled Sailabration will feature free tours of the ships, waterside festivities, an airshow featuring the Blue Angels, and the world-premiere of “Overture for 2012,” composed by Philip Glass.
In St Michaels, the 25th Annual Antique and Classic Boat Festival is being held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. This is an intimate event where you can admire marvelous craftsmanship and outstanding renovations, and chat with the boat owners.

Right here at the Annapolis City Dock in the Historic District of Annapolis, the HMS Bounty, a replica of the British Royal Navy ship involved in the 1789 mutiny in Tahiti, will be having tours on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5.
Saturday night is “Bands in the Sand” a huge beach party to benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
